CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION FOR CLASSES IX TO XII

New Era Public School, Dwarka conducted a career counselling session for its students of classes IX to XII, focusing on the career options in the field of law. The discussion aimed at educating students about various legal professions and their respective careers by highlighting the academic requirements and the required sets of skills for a successful career in law. Ms. Prisha Udar and Ms. Sakshi acted as resource persons for the workshop where the queries of the students regarding the legal profession were addressed. A brief introduction to the field of law formed the initial session.
The facilitators told about the importance of law in society and how it plays a pivotal role in ensuring justice and governance. An overview of the services of law professionals in various sectors was also provided. The speakers emphasized on the various career options in the legal field such as Corporate Law, Civil and Criminal Law, Human Rights Law to name a few. The students were advised on academic routes that lead to the pursuit of law, with focus given to an overview of entrance exams for the law courses such as CLAT, AILET, LSAT and others. The skills needed for a successful career in law, involving strong analytical and logical reasoning capabilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and problem-solving and negotiation skills were also highlighted.
The session successfully delivered upon its objectives by equipping the students with valued knowledge about the profession. It inspired them to consider law as one of their promising and fulfilling career options.
