New Era Public School, Dwarka organised its Annual Day with much enthusiasm and grandeur on 26th October, 2024, in the school amphitheatre. The theme, "A Tryst with Future," was thoughtfully chosen to take the audience on a captivating and foresighted journey through time to emphasize on the message of considerate use of mobiles and social media.
The panoramic presentation was graced by Mrs. Usha Chopra, Head of the New Era Group of Institutions and Mr. Rohit Chopra, Director, New Era Public School, Dwarka, along with Mrs. Kanwal Kohli, Mrs. Ashi Malhotra, Mrs. Neerja Bhaskar, and Mrs. Arti. The function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, signifying the spread of knowledge and enlightenment, followed by a soulful rendition of raag malhar, known to evoke the mood of the monsoon and create an atmosphere of rejuvenation. As the day unfolded, the school magazine, Meraki was unveiled and the prize distribution ceremony took place where students excelling in academics, sports, co-curricular activities and regularity to school were recognized. The Chief Guest applauded the students' dedication and the teachers' efforts, motivating everyone to continue pursuing excellence.
It was a noteworthy moment for the staff, students and parents alike as the book authored by Mr. Rohit Chopra, The Vital Play: How Sports Shape Our Health and Character, was also unveiled. Furthermore, the school choir mesmerised the gathering with a powerful song that captured the essence of perseverance and the pursuit of knowledge, followed by a speech by sir, guiding students on how to utilise their time wisely and incorporating sports in their lives for a healthy mind and body.
The Magnum Opus- The Tryst with Future, began with a beautiful dance performance by the students. It accentuated upon the fact that the future we envision is a blend of innovation, technology, and human values. The annual production left the audience in awe of the incredible performances by the students and a lot of pertinent questions that we all need to ask ourselves: Is technology our slave or our master? As the world becomes a smaller place, are we really coming closer or growing apart from each other?
The event concluded with a closing address by Mrs. Priti Ramendra, Vice Principal, who thanked the parents, teachers and the entire school community for their support and encouragement. Her closing remarks emphasized the importance of respecting time, learning from the past, and working towards a brighter future.
"A Tryst with Future" was a memorable event that allowed everyone to reflect on the actions of the present, appreciate time with family and envision the future. It was a grand day that left a lasting impression on all attendees.
