CELEBRATING FREEDOM, HONOURING SACRIFICE
Independence Day is celebrated all over India with great patriotism and pride. On August 14, 2024, on the eve of The Independence Day, the students of New Era Public School Dwarka, enthusiastically conducted a special assembly. It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years to break the shackles of slavery. The annual celebrations on 15th August is a testimony to the hard work and efforts put in by the Bravehearts who went through blood, sweat and tears to reclaim independence. It is a remarkable day when freedom fighters who fought for India’s freedom are honoured. The occasion was graced by the presence of New Era Public School’s Chairperson, Mrs Usha Chopra and Director, Mr Rohit Chopra, who to commemorate the sovereignty of the nation, unfurled the tricolour flag and all students in unison sang the national anthem. The gamut of celebration activities included a medley of patriotic songs, rendition of poems in English and Hindi , a bhangra dance performance and a role play.
The Chairperson, Mrs Usha Chopra and The Director, Mr Rohit Chopra addressed the assembly and shared details about India’s struggle for independence and freedom with the students and urged them to keep the flag of the nation flying high as the citizens of future.
As a part of celebration various activities, as follows, were conducted in the primary wing.
