At New Era Public School, Dwarka, Janmashtami,a day of joy and jubilation,heralding the birth of Lord Krishna,was celebrated with fervour on 6th September 2023 .The occasion was graced by the presence of The Chairperson Mrs Usha Chopra and The Director Mr Rohit Chopra .
Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu, who is not just a divine figure but also a symbol of wisdom, love, and righteousness. His life teaches the importance of truth, virtue, and the relentless pursuit of righteousness, even in the face of adversity.
Students of classes LKG, UKG and Class 1 participated in various funfilled activities like flute making, crown making ,paper matki decoration and butter milk making .
A special assembly , heralding the birth of Lord Krishna, was conducted with great pomp and festivity. The celebration started with a soulful prayer to invoke the blessings of Lord Krishna .This was followed by a group song dedicated to Lord Krishna, a symbol of divine love and wisdom.
The Bhagavad Gita is not just a scripture but a timeless guide for individuals seeking clarity, purpose, and ethical guidance in today’s complex world. In the life of students, it offers profound insights on decision-making, dealing with challenges, and maintaining a balanced and ethical approach to their studies and personal growth. It’s a beacon of wisdom that can illuminate our path toward success. Taking excerpts from the Bhagavad Gita ,students dressed up as Shri Krishna and Arjun had an insightful talk to share their thoughts on the teachings of Lord Krishna and how they can be applied in our lives. Their dialogue, known as Geeta Gyan emphasized the importance of duty, devotion, and moral values. It reminded the students that in their own lives, they should strive to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and remain steadfast in their principles.
This was followed by a vibrant and mesmerizing group dance performance on the theme of Krishna, a symbol of love and joy, depicting the various aspects of Krishna’s life and his playful nature by the students dressed up in colourful and vibrant dresses as Lord Krishna,Radha and gopies . Through this dance, the aim was to capture the essence of Krishna’s mischievous childhood, and his wisdom as portrayed in the Bhagavad Gita.
The celebrations concluded with the chairperson Mrs Usha Chopra addressing the gathering with her insightful words and also interacting with students.Her words truly summed up the efficacy of celebrating festivals of devotion and always looking ahead rather than reminiscing in the past.The Director,Mr Rohit Chopra blessed the students on this auspicious occasion and reiterated the values imparted through the teachings of Lord Krishna to the students.
