New Era Public School, Dwarka celebrated the International Labour Day to mark the importance of labourers in nation building. Also called May Day, It is celebrated on 1st May every year all over the world to encourage the workers by acknowledging their achievements.
A special assembly was conducted by the students of class iv to remember and thank all those who have made our lives easy.The assembly started with thought provoking words that said that, “No work is insignificant .All labours that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.
This was followed by a short talk that enlightened the children about the origin of Labours day.
A poem attempts to say the most while saying the least……..A beautiful poem titled ‘Labour Day’ was recitated that effectively expressed and conveyed a message of thankyou to all the labourers.
The students of NEPS, Dwarka took this opportunity to show their gratitude to the helpers ,whom they affectionately call bhaiya and didi,for their great love, support and patience with which they look after these tiny tots.
The occasion was graced by the presence of The Director and the Principal.The assembly concluded with an address by the Principal in which she emphasised the importance of recognising the role of these helping hands.
