If a speech has ever stirred you to tears, anger, or pure joy, you've likely heard a declamation. A declamation is a formal speech that includes rhetorical language, demonstrative gestures, and forceful emphasis to get a speaker's point across. Students of classes VI-VIII participated in the Declamation Competition wherein they delivered the famous speeches of the most eminent personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, APJ Abdul Kalam, etc.
On the other hand, students of classes IX-XII were made to take part in TED Talks. The purpose of TED Talks is told in its motto itself which is “Ideas worth spreading”. Therefore, its purpose is to spread ideas and inspire and motivate its audience. The participants took up the challenge wholeheartedly and spoke on various given topics, showcasing their logical flow of thoughts, coherence of ideas, and spontaneity in both the competitions, which undoubtedly impressed the judges.
In Declamation, Rigveda and Yajurveda bagged the first position, while Samveda House and Atharvaveda House stood second and third respectively.
