INTRA-SCHOOL MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2.0 – “SYMPHONY”

 

New Era Public School, Dwarka successfully organised the Intra-School Model United Nations 2.0 – “Symphony” on 22nd July 2026. The event provided students with a dynamic platform to engage in diplomacy, debate, critical thinking, negotiation and deliberation on significant contemporary global issues.

A total of 50 students participated enthusiastically in the conference across two committees — the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

To further enrich the experience and ensure an insightful evaluation of the proceedings, external judges were invited for both committees. Ms. Ishika Kundra was invited as the External Judge and President for the UNGA Committee, while Ms. Prisha Udaar was invited as the External Judge and President for the UNHRC Committee.

Agenda: Deliberation on the regulation of Artificial Intelligence with emphasis on global security, economic inequality and ethical governance.

Symphony – Intra-School Model United Nations 2.0 proved to be an enriching and engaging learning experience for the students. The conference encouraged participants to develop a deeper understanding of international affairs, diplomacy, human rights, global security and governance.

Through extensive research, moderated discussions, negotiations and formal deliberations, the delegates demonstrated commendable communication, analytical, diplomatic and leadership skills.

The conference concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, during which the Best Delegates, Outstanding Delegates, Special Mentions and Best Formal Attire awardees from both committees were felicitated for their remarkable performance.

Following the prize distribution, the gathering was addressed by the Chief Guest and Director, Mr. Rohit Chopra. In his concluding address, he appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of the participating delegates and encouraged the students to continue developing their confidence, leadership abilities, critical thinking and awareness of global issues.

The event concluded on a successful note, celebrating the efforts and achievements of all the young delegates and making Intra-School Model United Nations 2.0 – “Symphony” a memorable learning experience.
