Earth Day Special Assembly

                                                                                                     EARTH DAY CELEBRATION  

 ‘The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it’.

On 23^rd April’26, the students of New Era Public School Dwarka, celebrated Earth Day. A special assembly to sensitize the children to become crusaders for environment conservation, was conducted by class VA in the morning.

 The Students explained the history and importance of Earth Day and shared various measures that can be adopted to make our Earth cleaner and green . Earth Day 2026, held on April’ 22 , centers on the theme ‘Our Power, Our Planet’ for strengthening environmental protections, enhancing accountability, and promoting individual responsibility toward sustainability. Today, our young minds came together as true Guardians of Nature to celebrate Earth Day with enthusiasm and responsibility. Through quotes, pledges, and character enactments, students spread awareness about protecting our planet and adopting sustainable habits.  The students beautifully conveyed the message through character enactment, where participants embodied environmentalists and natural elements to promote sustainability. The event highlighted crucial environmental issues, featuring activists focusing on tree plantation, Chipko Movement, water conservation, waste reduction (reduce, reuse, recycle), and energy conservation. Children came dressed up as Sunderlal Bahuguna, Medha Patkar, Dr. Vandana  Shiva, Jadev Payeng , Rajendra Singh and Amrita Devi to highlight their work towards protecting our environment. 

Let’s remember—every small step counts. Save water, plant trees, reduce waste, and respect nature. Together, we can build a greener and healthier future.

The assembly concluded successfully with the Director’s message emphasizing on the imminent need to practise measures to restore nature and build a healthy planet. He urged the students to be more responsible and caring towards our environment by celebrating Earth Day not once a year but every day .
